Welcome to Durango
You’ll have to schedule some time for this place between checking out Mesa Verde National Park, learning about the old west and taking a gold mine tour or just hitching a ride on the narrow gauge train to Silverton. Hiking, biking, climbing, camping, skiing, rock climbing…it’s a place where you might want to hang your hat for a while.
Here’s where you’ll want to base your trip into Chicago Basin for your ascents of the Eolus group. Excellent place to celebrate any of the Needle or Grenadier Range climbs.
